Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. spice mixture (cloves and stick cinnamon)
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 qt. white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Heat the sugar, spice mixture, salt, and vinegar to a boil.
  2. Pour the hot mixture over sliced pickles.
  3. Let the pickles sit in the mixture for 4 days, then pour off the liquid.
  4. Reheat the mixture to boiling and pour over the pickles again.
