Ingredients

  • 4 qt. popped popcorn
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. white corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. miniature marshmallows
  • 1 1/2 c. spiced gumdrops

Instructions

  1. Mix popcorn, marshmallows, and gumdrops in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Melt butter in a heavy saucepan and add sugar and corn syrup.
  3. Bring to a boil, stirring, and simmer for 3 minutes.
  4. Add vanilla and blend well.
  5. Pour the hot mixture over the popcorn mixture, mixing well.
  6. Let stand for 2 minutes to cool slightly.
  7. With dampened hands, shape into balls, candy canes, wreaths, or other shapes as desired.
