Ingredients

  • 3 cups raw peanuts
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 4 drops red food coloring
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients in a heavy frying pan and bring to a boil.
  2. Cook and stir until the sugar melts and the mixture becomes dry again, coating the peanuts.
  3. Spread the coated peanuts on a cookie sheet.
  4. Place in a preheated oven at 300°F and bake for 15 minutes.
  5. Do not overcook!
