Candy Crackers are a sweet, crunchy treat layered with chocolate and nuts, perfect for sharing at parties or as a delightful snack for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • crackers
  • 1 cup real butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • nuts

Instructions

  1. Line a large cookie sheet with foil.
  2. Lay crackers side by side to cover the foil.
  3. In a small pan, bring the butter and sugar to a boil and boil for 3 minutes.
  4. Pour the butter and sugar mixture over the crackers and gently cover them.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5 to 7 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the hot crackers and let them melt.
  7. Spread the melted chocolate gently over the surface.
  8. Sprinkle with nuts.
  9. Chill until set.
  10. Store in a cookie tin.
