Ingredients

  • 2 qt. white vinegar
  • 1 qt. water
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • sweet or hot peppers
  • oil

Instructions

  1. Bring white vinegar, water, sugar, and salt to a rolling boil.
  2. Cut peppers into rings or slices.
  3. Place peppers into jars and cover with the hot syrup.
  4. Add 1 tablespoon of oil to each quart of peppers in the jars.
  5. Seal the jars without cold packing.
  6. Store and keep very crisp.
