Ingredients

  • 6 cucumbers, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 small bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 medium-sized onion, thinly sliced
  • 3/4 cup white vinegar
  • 3 to 4 cups water
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Chill in the refrigerator overnight, tightly covered, to let the flavors meld.
