Ingredients

  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. Karo light corn syrup

Instructions

  1. Combine oleo, brown sugar, and Karo light corn syrup in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Boil together for 1 1/2 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.
  4. Pour the caramel mixture over Corn Chex in a brown paper bag.
  5. Microwave the bag for 4 minutes, shaking after each minute.
  6. Spread the coated Chex on wax paper to cool.
  7. Store in a Ziploc bag.
