Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup oleo
  • 3/4 cup walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix flour, brown sugar, beaten egg, and oleo until crumbly.
  3. Add walnuts to the mixture.
  4. Reserve 2 cups of the crumb mixture; press the remaining mixture into a greased 9x13-inch pan.
  5. Bake the crust for 15 minutes.
  6. In a saucepan, melt 24 Kraft caramels, 1/4 cup oleo, and the sweetened condensed milk.
  7. Pour the caramel mixture over the baked crust.
  8. Top with the remaining crumb mixture.
  9. Bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes or until bubbling.
  10. Allow to cool, then cut into bars and store loosely covered at room temperature.
