Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 medium ripe bananas
  • 1/4 cup sauce cockaigne

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Peel the bananas and split them lengthwise.
  3. Gently simmer the bananas in the butter on both sides until tender.
  4. Baste the bananas with the sauce (Cockaigne).
  5. Place the bananas on a hot plate.
  6. Pour rum or liquor over the bananas and light to flambé.
