Creamy and savory, Carol's Red Stroganoff features tender beef strips in a rich tomato-mushroom sauce, perfect for comforting family dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. chuck/round steak, cut into thin strips
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 to 3 tsp. sweet basil
  • 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cans mushrooms

Instructions

  1. Brown the steak with chopped onion, sweet basil, seasoned salt, and garlic salt in a skillet.
  2. Add the tomato soup and cream of mushroom soup to the skillet and stir well.
  3. Add the canned mushrooms and cook on low-medium heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Just before serving, stir in sour cream.
  5. Serve over mashed potatoes or rice.
