  1. Heat water, milk, and margarine until combined and warm.
  2. Cool the mixture to room temperature.
  3. Add beaten eggs, salt, baking powder, and grated potatoes to the cooled mixture.
  4. Gradually add flour and knead the dough well until smooth and elastic.
  5. Keep the dough covered and rest for a short period if desired.
  6. Roll out 1/8 of the dough on a lightly floured surface to pencil thickness.
  7. Cut the rolled dough into 1-inch pieces.
  8. Allow the cut pieces to dry on a lightly floured board for about 4 hours.
  9. Cook the cavetelli in boiling water until they rise to the surface, or freeze for future use.
