Ingredients

  • 1 pie shell
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup light cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup grated Swiss cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Bake the pie shell for 8 to 10 minutes, then reduce oven temperature to 350°F.
  3. Crumble the fried bacon and place it in the pie shell.
  4. In a bowl, beat the eggs and add the light cream and salt.
  5. Sprinkle grated Swiss cheese over the bacon in the pie shell.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the bacon and cheese. Dot with small pieces of butter.
  7. Bake the quiche for 30 minutes until set and golden.
