Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 or 2 loaves white bread
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and egg yolk until creamy.
  2. Trim crusts from bread and roll with a rolling pin until thin.
  3. Spread the filling on the bread and roll in a crescent roll shape.
  4. Melt butter in a skillet or dish.
  5. Dip the rolled blintz in melted butter, then roll in a mixture of 1 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon or sprinkle with it.
  6. Add more cinnamon and sugar as desired.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes until golden.
