Ingredients

  • 4 medium yellow squash
  • 2/3 cup grated cheese
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • dash of pepper

Instructions

  1. Pare the yellow squash and cut into small pieces; cook until tender. Drain well.
  2. Add milk slowly to the mayonnaise, stirring to combine.
  3. When the mixture begins to thicken, add grated cheese and seasonings (salt and pepper).
  4. Place the cooked squash in a casserole dish.
  5. Pour the cheese sauce over the squash, covering evenly.
  6. Bake at 400°F until the top is browned and bubbly, about 20-30 minutes.
