Ingredients

  • 1 cup margarine or butter
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond flavor
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 can cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. Cream margarine, sugar, and eggs until well combined.
  2. Add all remaining ingredients except cherry pie filling and mix well.
  3. Spread half of the batter in a large greased and floured cookie sheet with edges.
  4. Spread cherry pie filling evenly over the batter.
  5. Top with the remaining batter.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 30 minutes.
  7. While hot, top with a glaze.
