Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 tsp. lemon extract
  • 2 Tbsp. anise extract
  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. chopped maraschino cherries
  • 1/2 c. chopped almonds

Instructions

  1. Mix everything together and pour into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
  2. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes until golden.
  3. Slice into thin strips (1 x 3-inch) and place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes more to harden and make golden on the sides.
