Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup oleo (margarine or butter)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Put 2/3 of the dough in a greased pan and press it down evenly.
  2. Spread the fruit filling over the dough in the pan.
  3. Dollop the remaining dough on top in small globs over the fruit filling.
  4. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Make a glaze by mixing powdered sugar and water, then drizzle over the cooled squares.
