Ingredients

  • 1 (21 oz.) can cherry fruit pie filling
  • 4 Tbsp. Amaretto
  • 1/2 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cup dairy sour cream
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup plus 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Drain 1/2 cup of thick sauce from the cherry pie filling and reserve.
  2. Mix the reserved sauce with 1 tablespoon of Amaretto and 1/4 teaspoon of almond extract. Set aside.
  3. Spoon the cherries over the bottom of the unbaked pie shell.
  4. Mix the remaining 3 tablespoons of Amaretto, egg, sour cream, sugar, vanilla, flour, remaining 1/4 teaspoon of almond extract, and salt.
  5. Pour the mixture over the cherries in the pie shell.
  6. Bake in a preheated 450°F oven for 10 minutes.
  7. Reduce the temperature to 350°F and bake for an additional 35 minutes.
  8. Remove the pie from the oven and let cool before serving.
