Chewy Coconut Nut Bars

Ingredients

  • 18 14 ounces white cake mix
  • 12 cup butter, melted
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 34 cups light brown sugar, packed
  • 14 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 12 cups chopped nuts
  • 1 cup flaked coconut

Instructions

  1. CRUST:.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix and melted butter.
  3. Using a wooden spoon, mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Press firmly into prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes or until light golden.
  6. TOPPING:.
  7. In a bowl, beat eggs and brown sugar until blended.
  8. Stir in flour, baking powder and vanilla., Stir in nuts and coconut.
  9. Spread over warm crust.
  10. Bake in a preheated 350* oven for 25-30 minutes or till set.
  11. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.cut into bars.
