Ingredients

  • 2 (7 oz.) packages Martha White apple-cinnamon muffin mix
  • 1/2 cup butter or oleo, melted
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups mincemeat

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Combine muffin mix, melted butter, and sugar; blend until crumbly.
  3. Reserve 1 cup of the mixture, loosely packed.
  4. Press the remaining crust mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 9-inch square baking pan.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and cool for 5 minutes.
  7. Spread mincemeat evenly over the crust.
  8. Sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture over the mincemeat.
  9. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Cool on a wire rack before cutting into bars.
