Ingredients

  • 1 Duncan Hines yellow butter cake mix
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 12 oz. Cool Whip
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the yellow butter cake mix according to the package directions and bake in two 8 or 9-inch pans.
  2. Allow the cake layers to cool completely.
  3. Slice each layer in half horizontally to make four layers.
  4. In a mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  5. Fold in the Cool Whip until well combined.
  6. Spread the filling between the cake layers and on top of the assembled cake.
  7. Chill the cake before serving to allow flavors to meld.
