Ingredients

  • 2-3 lb. fryer chicken, cut up
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 1 (8 oz.) bottle Russian salad dressing

Instructions

  1. Brown the chicken if desired.
  2. Arrange the chicken, skin side down, in a 9x13 inch pan.
  3. Simmer the dry onion soup mix and Russian salad dressing for 10 minutes.
  4. Spread the mixture over the chicken.
  5. Marinate in the refrigerator for one hour or overnight.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes, covered.
  7. Turn the chicken and bake for an additional 20 minutes, uncovered, until brown and tender.
  8. Baste the chicken often during baking.
