Ingredients

  • 1 cut-up chicken
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • oregano
  • 1 egg
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 stack saltines

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the chicken pieces.
  2. In a shallow pan, mix the egg and milk with paprika, oregano, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Crush the saltines into crumbs.
  4. Dip the chicken into the egg mixture, then roll in the crushed saltines to coat.
  5. Brown the coated chicken in oil on both sides until golden brown; drain excess oil.
  6. Place any remaining crumbs in a casserole dish, then add the browned chicken on top.
  7. Cover the dish and bake at 350°F for 1 hour until chicken is cooked through.
