Ingredients

  • 13 (2 to 3 lb.) fryers, cut into serving pieces
  • 1 lb. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 lb. shortening

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, salt, paprika, and pepper.
  2. Roll chicken pieces in the seasoned flour mixture.
  3. Brown the chicken in hot shortening.
  4. Place the browned chicken in large pans.
  5. Bake at 325°F until tender, approximately 45 to 60 minutes, until juices run clear.
