Ingredients

  • 2 lb venison round steak
  • 4 c milk
  • 4 c flour
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Pound the venison steak with a meat mallet on both sides to tenderize.
  2. Soak the steak in 4 cups of milk for one hour to tenderize and add flavor.
  3. Mix the flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl to prepare the coating.
  4. Remove the steak from the milk and coat it with the dry mixture.
  5. Deep fry the coated venison in Crisco until golden brown and cooked through.
