- Wash and dry the chicken breasts.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Place the chicken, skin side up, in a baking dish.
- Blend the white cooking wine and cream of mushroom soup together well.
- Add sliced mushrooms if desired.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
- Cover and bake in a 350°F oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- Remove the cover and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Place the chicken on rice and mix the chicken drippings with sour cream and heat on low until hot.
- Spoon the sauce over the chicken and rice, and serve with gravy on the side.
