Chicken Parisiane features tender chicken breasts baked in a creamy mushroom and wine sauce, topped with sour cream, making it a comforting and flavorful dish suitable for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 6 medium chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup white cooking wine
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (3 oz) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • paprika
  • 1 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the chicken breasts.
  2. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the chicken, skin side up, in a baking dish.
  4. Blend the white cooking wine and cream of mushroom soup together well.
  5. Add sliced mushrooms if desired.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
  7. Cover and bake in a 350°F oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  8. Remove the cover and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  9. Place the chicken on rice and mix the chicken drippings with sour cream and heat on low until hot.
  10. Spoon the sauce over the chicken and rice, and serve with gravy on the side.
