"Chili" Homemade

Ingredients

  • 3 lb. ground beef (coarse ground)
  • 4 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 2 c. chopped onion
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 6 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 4 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 c. catsup
  • 6 c. water

Instructions

  1. Brown together the ground beef, cooking oil, onion and garlic. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Cover and simmer 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Chili is best when cooked and let cool for several hours, then heat to desired temperature.
  5. Do not cook again!
