- Cream 1/4 cup softened butter until smooth.
- Gradually add confectioners sugar and bourbon alternately, beating until thick and smooth.
- Shape the mixture into small balls measuring about 1/2 teaspoon each, using sugar on hands if necessary.
- Press a pecan half on each side of each ball and chill.
- Melt the semi-sweet chocolate with 1 1/2 teaspoons of butter in the top of a double boiler.
- Dip one end of each candy into the melted chocolate and place on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper.
- Chill the coated candies until the chocolate is set.
