Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup softened butter
  • 1 pound confectioners sugar
  • 1/3 cup bourbon
  • 3 cups pecan halves
  • 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate

Instructions

  1. Cream 1/4 cup softened butter until smooth.
  2. Gradually add confectioners sugar and bourbon alternately, beating until thick and smooth.
  3. Shape the mixture into small balls measuring about 1/2 teaspoon each, using sugar on hands if necessary.
  4. Press a pecan half on each side of each ball and chill.
  5. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate with 1 1/2 teaspoons of butter in the top of a double boiler.
  6. Dip one end of each candy into the melted chocolate and place on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper.
  7. Chill the coated candies until the chocolate is set.
