Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 3 heaping tablespoons flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Stir together the sugar, cocoa, flour, and salt in a saucepan.
  2. Add boiling water to the saucepan.
  3. Cook until the mixture thickens, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from the stove and add vanilla and butter.
  5. Pour into a pie shell if making a pie.
