  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly spray a 9 x 13-inch pan with vegetable oil spray.
  3. Place the cake mix, egg, almond, and cherry pie filling in a large mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer on low for 1 minute.
  4. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  8. Serve with chocolate glaze.
