Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 ounces melted chocolate
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Mix vegetable oil, melted chocolate, and sugar in a bowl.
  2. Blend in eggs, one at a time; mix well after each addition.
  3. Add vanilla extract and stir to combine.
  4. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl, then add to the chocolate mixture and mix well.
  5. Chill the dough several hours or overnight.
  6. Drop teaspoon-sized portions of dough into powdered sugar and roll into balls.
  7. Place the dough balls 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets.
  8. Bake in a 350°F (180°C) oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until almost no imprint remains when touched lightly in the center.
