Chocolate Divine Dessert offers a rich, creamy chocolate layer paired with toasted almonds and airy angel food cake, perfect for special occasions or indulgent gatherings.

Instructions
- Place slivered almonds on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350°F until light brown. Cool and set aside.
- In the top of a double boiler over hot water, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips with sugar. Cool.
- Mix in beaten egg yolks. Gradually fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
- Fold in whipped cream and vanilla extract.
- Tear angel food cake into 1/2-inch pieces.
- Put half of the cake pieces on the bottom of a buttered 10-inch spring-form pan.
- Cover with half of the chocolate mixture.
- Repeat with remaining cake pieces and chocolate mixture.
- Refrigerate for at least 24 hours.
- Remove the rim of the spring-form pan.
- Top with toasted almonds before serving.
- May be made up to 3 days in advance.
