Chocolate Filled Bon-Bons
Mini chocolate bites packed with nutty crunch and rich chocolate centers, perfect for a sweet treat or party favors, blending buttery dough with a gooey chocolate kiss inside.

- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream 3/4 cup Crisco with 1/2 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Add 1 egg, 2 teaspoons vanilla, and 1/2 teaspoon almond extract; beat well.
- Stir in 1 3/4 cups flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt until just combined. Fold in 1/2 cup chopped pecans.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet and roll into 1‑inch balls. Press each ball around a chocolate kiss so it is completely enclosed.
- Bake for 12 minutes, or until edges are set. Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack. Decorate or frosted as desired.
