Tips & Substitutions

For a richer flavor, consider using real butter instead of margarine. If you want to lighten it up, substitute low-fat ice cream or use a dairy-free alternative. You can also use graham cracker crumbs instead of shortbread cookies for a different crust texture. Make sure to chill the dessert long enough for it to set properly before serving.

Serving Suggestions

This dessert is a delightful end to any meal, especially paired with a light fruit salad or a scoop of fresh berries. For a fun twist, serve with a drizzle of chocolate sauce or a side of whipped cream. It’s perfect for potlucks or gatherings and can be easily transported in its pan. Enjoy alongside a cup of coffee or tea.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. It’s best served cold, so there's no need to reheat. Just scoop out portions directly from the pan. If the dessert has been sitting out for a while, keep it chilled until ready to serve to maintain its texture.
