Chocolate Orange Cake

- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a double boiler, melt the semi-sweet chocolate.
- In a bowl, sift together the cocoa powder, baking powder, and pastry flour.
- In another bowl, cream the butter with the sugar until very light.
- Add dry ingredients and orange juice alternately in thirds to the creamed mixture.
- Blend in the melted chocolate.
- Gently fold in the whipped egg whites until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
- Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before serving.
