Chocolate Roca Bars are a rich, crunchy treat combining salty crackers, buttery caramel, and smooth chocolate, perfect for satisfying sweet and salty cravings or sharing at gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. saltine crackers (40 crackers)
  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 12 oz. miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Lay tin foil on a pan and arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer.
  2. Cook butter and sugar until creamy, then pour the mixture over the crackers and spread evenly.
  3. Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes, making sure not to burn.
  4. Remove from oven and immediately pour the miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips over the hot crackers.
  5. Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the surface.
  6. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top of the chocolate.
  7. Refrigerate until the bars are firm.
  8. Cut into bars before they become too solid and serve.
