Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 cup evaporated milk

Instructions

  1. Cook all the ingredients, except the vanilla, to the soft ball stage, or 235°F.
  2. Remove from heat; add vanilla.
  3. Pour into a buttered 8-inch pan.
  4. When cold, turn out and cut into squares.
  5. Wrap each square individually in wax paper or plastic wrap.
