Sweet, chewy fruit sticks combining candied pineapple, cherries, dates, and crunchy pecans, coated with coconut and sugar, perfect for festive occasions and satisfying snack cravings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb candied pineapple
  • 1/2 lb candied cherries
  • 1 small package dates
  • 2 cups pecans
  • 1 can Angel Flake coconut
  • 1 can Eagle Brand milk

Instructions

  1. Chop the candied pineapple, candied cherries, and dates.
  2. Mix the chopped fruits with pecans, coconut, and sweetened condensed milk.
  3. Line a 9 x 13-inch pan with brown paper.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and pat it firmly to evenly distribute.
  5. Bake at 275°F (135°C) for 50 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and let stand for 10 minutes.
  7. Turn the mixture out onto waxed paper sprinkled with powdered sugar.
  8. Cool for 1 hour, then cut into strips or squares.
