Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. corn syrup
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/3 c. candied fruit, chopped
  • 1/3 c. nuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Bring sugar, corn syrup, milk, and salt to a boiling point, stirring constantly.
  2. Cook to soft ball stage.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Cool the mixture; beat until stiff.
  5. Add vanilla, butter, candied fruit, and nuts.
  6. Pour into a buttered dish.
