- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Trim fat from the beef chuck steak.
- Place the steak in a shallow glass baking dish with space around it.
- In a bowl, mix chopped Italian tomatoes, chopped onion, chopped garlic, oregano, salt, and olive oil.
- Spread the tomato mixture over the steak.
- Bake uncovered for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until the steak is tender.
- Slice the steak at an angle and serve with the tomato sauce from the pan.
