Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) package refrigerated biscuits
  • oil (for frying)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Separate the refrigerated biscuits with scissors into individual pieces.
  2. Make 5 cuts at regular intervals, almost to the center of each biscuit, creating a blossom shape.
  3. Heat oil in a fryer or deep pan until hot.
  4. Drop the biscuit blossoms into the hot oil and fry for about 1 minute on each side, or until golden brown.
  5. Remove the fried blossoms from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  6. While still warm, coat the blossoms with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Serve warm or cold as a sweet treat.
