Ingredients

  • 2 gallons large cucumbers
  • 2 cups lime
  • 8 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 bottle red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon alum
  • 3 sticks cinnamon
  • 2 cups vinegar
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Peel, slice, and seed the cucumbers.
  2. Soak the cucumbers in lime and 8 1/2 cups water for 24 hours.
  3. Drain and wash the cucumbers thoroughly.
  4. Soak the cucumbers in clear water for 3 hours.
