Cipherbabe's Good, Basic Chili

Ingredients

  • black beans
  • tomato paste
  • chili powder
  • onion
  • ground beef
  • olive oil
  • tomato sauce

Instructions

  1. Heat oil over medium high heat in a large pot.
  2. Add onion and reduce heat to medium low to sweat the onions until translucent.
  3. Return heat to medium high and add ground beef and brown.
  4. Drain and return to pot.
  5. Add beans (with liquid), tomato sauce, tomato paste and chili powder.
  6. Mix thoroughly and heat through.
  7. Lower heat and simmer for 1 hour.
