Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 package vanilla instant pudding
  • 1 cup water
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup syrup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, bring water, butter, and salt to a boil.
  2. Add flour all at once and stir until a smooth ball forms.
  3. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Spread the batter into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan and bake at 400°F for 30 to 35 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  6. Cool completely.
  7. Remove from pan onto a serving dish.
  8. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, vanilla instant pudding, and milk until smooth and creamy.
  9. Spread the pudding mixture over the cooled puff pastry.
  10. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  11. Spread Cool Whip over the pudding layer and drizzle Hershey's Chocolate Syrup on top.
