Ingredients

  • 24 steamed clams
  • 1 lb bacon
  • 1 small jar pimento
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 small green pepper
  • lemon juice
  • Tabasco sauce

Instructions

  1. Steam the clams.
  2. Remove the clams from the shell and place them loose in half shells.
  3. Cook the bacon until browned, then drain and crumble when cool.
  4. Chop the pimento, small onion, and green pepper.
  5. Add the chopped vegetables to the crumbled bacon.
  6. Place one drop of lemon juice and one drop of Tabasco sauce on each clam.
  7. Top each clam with the bacon and vegetable mixture.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
  9. Serve with lemon wedges.
