Creamy, sweet layered bar featuring graham crackers, coconut, and a rich caramel-like filling, perfect for satisfying dessert cravings and sharing at gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup plus 5 tablespoons milk
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 sticks margarine
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups coconut

Instructions

  1. Slightly grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Combine sugar, milk, a pinch of salt, margarine, and brown sugar. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Line the prepared pan with a row of Club crackers.
  4. Pour half of the cooked filling over the crackers.
  5. Add another row of crackers on top of the filling.
  6. Pour the remaining half of the filling over the second layer of crackers.
  7. Top with a layer of crackers if desired, then chill before serving.
