Ingredients

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 cups sweetened fresh fruit or 1 can pie filling

Instructions

  1. Melt margarine in an oblong cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, milk, and baking powder until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan over the melted margarine.
  4. Spoon the sweetened fresh fruit or pie filling evenly on top of the batter.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour until golden and bubbly.
