Coconut Truffles

Decadent coconut truffles infused with rich chocolate and liqueur, coated in toasted coconut. Perfect for special occasions or as a luxurious sweet treat.

Ingredients

  • 3 squares semi-sweet chocolate
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 1/4 c brandy or coffee liqueur
  • flaked coconut

Instructions

  1. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate over very low heat, stirring constantly.
  2. Allow the melted chocolate to cool slightly, then cream the butter with the egg yolk.
  3. Gradually add sugar, blending well. Stir in the melted chocolate and liqueur.
  4. Chill the mixture until firm enough to handle.
  5. Shape the chilled mixture into 3/4-inch balls.
  6. Roll the balls in flaked coconut.
  7. Chill the coated truffles until ready to serve.
  8. Keep refrigerated.
