Instructions
- Melt butter; scald milk. Stir in 1/4 cup sugar, salt and 1/4 cup butter.
- Cool to lukewarm.
- Measure warm water into large warm bowl. Sprinkle or crumble in yeast.
- Stir until dissolved. Add lukewarm milk mixture, eggs and 2 cups flour; beat until smooth. Stir in remaining 2 cups flour.
- Mix until well blended. Cover. Let rise in warm place, free from drafts, until double in bulk, about 30 minutes.
