Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • 2/3 c. powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Combine butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until very light and fluffy.
  2. Add flour gradually, mixing until well blended.
  3. Chill dough in freezer for 30 minutes.
  4. Divide the chilled dough into portions and roll out a third at a time, keeping remaining dough chilled.
  5. On a lightly floured board, gently roll out dough to 1/4-inch thickness.
  6. Cut out cookies with a cookie cutter and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes until lightly browned.
  8. Cool for a few minutes before removing from the pan.
